Business Development Manager

Business development at Wickfire involves a combination of sales and account management. This role is the face and voice of the company through emails, calls, and in-person meetings. It requires a high level of professionalism, people skills, accountability, and follow-through. Our ideal candidate will be proficient in written and oral communication, comfortable using Excel and Powerpoint, and a self-starter who can create a structured schedule outside of an office environment. 1-3 years of experience in a marketing or client-facing role required.

Sales involves outreach to new potential partners, and identifying expansion opportunities for existing partners. The ultimate goal of sales is bringing in new business through paid search bidding permissions, sponsored ad buys, commission increases, and placement fees.
Review of new affiliate program launches
Assistance with identifying new affiliate network opportunities
Point-of-contact for new incoming opportunities
Additional assigned items from Wickfire’s business development team
Assistance with updating Wickfire marketing materials


Account management involves relationship building with existing partners. It is a combination of keeping them happy, keeping Wickfire top-of-mind, and optimizing sales throughout the year as we expand our existing partner relationships.
Review incoming emails to filter out relevant information
Point-of-contact for all client questions
Email, phone, and in-person meetings with network account managers and agency clients
Preparation and delivery of partner-specific presentations
Regular check-ins with Wickfire’s senior business development team
